Or maybe I had my own understanding of it, but I realised that I had some #assumptions about what my own practice should look like, and what little processes were valid for it. Foundation challenged that by pushing me to let go completely of the preconceived notions and just experiment really without even worrying about the final outcome. I realised that art isn't purely about executing an idea of sorts and as clearly as possible, but rather about finding out the idea in the making. It also made me question the boundaries between disciplines. I found out that it's not purely about esthetics, but rather about the context and the personal expression. It made me realize that if there are any rules and art, they're often meant to be questioned. It's not broken down completely." #challenge #process #experimentation ________ [[Maru Ivannikova]] #studentof2019 #statementof2025 [[BHSAD, Foundation Art and Design]] [[RUSSIA]] ________ *About* [[Voices of Foundation]]
